Softball is a modified form of baseball, played on a smaller field with a larger ball, seven rather than nine innings, and underarm pitching. Our Burlington Blues have a great time at Gary Allen Park every Thursday evening, 6:30 to 8:30pm, from the middle of May to Mid September, learning and improving our catching, throwing and batting.  Our competitive teams play in several tournaments throughout the summer. We also travel to nearby communities for the occasional Thursday night fun game.  Our T -Ball / non-competitive team enjoys nightly games as well as developing skills that may allow the athlete to advance to one of the competitive teams.  Both groups meet at Gary Allen Park.  Our competitive athletes completed a very successful skills camp at the Burloak Sports Centre.  Our athletes worked on their skills development as well as learning the rules of the game.  A special thanks to the volunteers from the Burlington Oldtimers Slo-pitch League for their support and training assistance.
